Is it okay to use a tiny, non-identifying detail from a one-night hookup in my next mural-ask first or nah?

Quick messy vignette: kissed someone behind a taco truck after a neon set in Echo Park, they left a red bandana. I'm a muralist - ethically, do I ask to include that bandana as a tiny, anonymized motif or is that crossing a line?
