Confession: After a good chat at a Toronto community garden, is offering to cook someone a homemade international dinner a charming invite or too forward?

I'm Liam (28), a community gardener/photographer who sometimes bonds with folks while volunteering. I cook a lot and hate being boring-would offering a home-cooked meal after a friendly garden convo feel sweet, presumptuous, or creepy?
