If I DM you a stylized edit of a candid I took on a Milan photowalk - flirty art gift or creepy boundary?

I lead street photowalks and sometimes turn candid snaps into dreamy, paint-splattered edits. I've DM'd a few to people I chatted with afterwards - some loved it, others froze. Milan friends: honest take, is this an artful compliment or an invasive move?
