My husband wants me to deliver bad news to his mother - how do I avoid doing this without being cruel?

Trigger warning: miscarriage. I'm Elin, a 27F urban gardener - my husband wants me to tell his mother about our loss but I can't face her. Is asking him, a drafted message, or a third party reasonable, or am I being cold?

Make him do it - it's his responsibility
