Lyon - is chalking a tiny heart on a bench as a quiet 'open to a flirty chat' signal cute street art or a boundary breach?

I'm a muralist from LA visiting Lyon and I've been tempted to leave little chalk hearts near benches to gently invite shy folks to say hi. Harmless charm, awkward flirt tactic, or public boundary crossed?
