Vancouver - real talk: if I ask to photograph a stranger's tattoo on the street and offer a print/IG, is that flirty or crossing a line?

Confession: visiting graphic designer + street photographer here. I asked someone on Commercial Drive if I could shoot their tattoo and offered a print or my Instagram. They smiled but went quiet. Was I being charmingly bold, flirt-adjacent, or just intrusive? Vancouver honesty pls.
