Delhi locals - handing someone a flattering instant portrait plus a tiny 'ask-first' card with a cheeky 'chai?' invite: thoughtful or overstepping?

I'm an Irish photographer poking my curiosity from Dublin - would a small clear 'ask-first' card tucked with a free portrait and playful invite make a meet-cute less creepy in Delhi, or is it awkward here? Honest local takes, please.
